ABOUT MINIATURE GOLDENDOODLES

 The Miniature Goldendoodle (often called a "Mini Goldendoodle") is a popular designer crossbreed between a Golden Retriever and a Miniature or Toy Poodle. Known for their "teddy bear" appearance and affectionate nature, they were bred to provide the gentle personality of a retriever in a smaller, more allergy-friendly package .

Physical Characteristics

Because they are a crossbreed, their appearance can vary significantly even within the same litter.

• Size: Generally stand 13–20 inches tall and weigh between 15–35 pounds.
  
• Coat Types:
  • Curly: Most similar to a Poodle; highly hypoallergenic but requires daily brushing.
    
  • Wavy: The most common type; a shaggy, soft coat that is low-shedding.
    
  • Straight: Resembles the Golden Retriever more closely; easier to brush but more likely to shed.
• Colors: They come in a wide spectrum, including cream, apricot, red, chocolate, black, and even "parti" (multi-colored) and a beautifully unique Merle pattern .
  

The Mini Goldendoodle is celebrated for its "happy-go-lucky" attitude.

• High Intelligence: Inheriting the smarts of both parent breeds, they are exceptionally easy to train but can become mischievous if they get bored.
• Social Butterflies: They thrive on human companionship and typically get along famously with children and other pets.
• High Energy: Despite their size, they are athletic. They love hiking, swimming, and playing fetch. They usually require 30–60 minutes of active exercise daily.
• Affectionate: Often called "velcro dogs," they prefer to be involved with the family and partake in adventures.
  

• Grooming: This is their highest-maintenance area. To prevent painful matting, they need brushing 3–4 times a week and professional grooming every 6–8 weeks
